Manage the operational finances for the Chapter including tracking, organizing and analyzing the Chapter monies (the Chapter’s checking account, the Chapter’s savings account, and the Chapter’s Certificate of Deposit). Direct the process of developing the annual budget. Manage the AVP of Finance in preparing monthly finance reports for the board meetings and retreats.
Foundational National ATD CARE Requirements
Submit annual Income Statement, Balance Sheet and next year’s budget for CARE.
Qualifications
● Technology-proficient
● Excel experience required
● Financial familiarity with financial statements and budgeting processes
Responsibilities
● Attend monthly 90-minute NNJ ATD Board meetings and Winter and Summer Half Day Board Retreats.
● Coordinate closely with Programs VP on programs revenue.
● Coordinate closely with Membership VP on membership revenue.
● Monitor budget plan versus actual with all Board officers.
● Manage the AVP of finance in preparing the monthly P & L and Income statements.
● Present to the board at monthly meetings and retreats a finance report sharing the status of the chapter accounts, the position of the chapter with regard to the yearly plan and provide advice on the financial impact of various chapter initiatives.
● Submit the financial records each year to the external auditor.
● Manage the yearly budget process by meeting with each board member to review plans and projections for income and expenses in the coming year. Prepare the budget for approval by the board at the December board meeting.
● Maintain a NNJ ATD Chapter membership.
● Secure and maintain a current National ATD Professional Level membership (with a Board Officer discount upon Board appointed confirmation).
Time Commitment: 1 – 2 hours a month plus monthly board plus 10-15 hours during the budget process in November-December
